For controllers
Close faster, with every control.
A close checklist built from the work itself, reconciliation that runs all month, and an append-only audit log. Eternify Assistant drafts the entries and the flux notes; you review and approve.

What you get
A checklist that fills itself
Tasks complete when the work behind them completes: the bank reconciles, the billing run posts, the accrual is approved. You see what is blocking the close, not a list someone ticked.
Reconciled before you look
Bank, card and Stripe lines are matched as they arrive. What is left is a short list of exceptions with the evidence beside each one.
Controls that hold
The proposer cannot be the approver above a threshold, periods lock, and a correction is a reversing entry beside the original. Nothing is deleted.
A close measured in days.
The close is a continuous process on a perpetual ledger. At period end you review, lock and sign off instead of starting the work.
- Checklist status derived from the entries and reconciliations themselves
- Flux analysis and variance explanations drafted for your review
- Period locks and entity-level subledger locks in the audit record

Matched as it arrives.
Bank feeds, cards and Stripe settlements are matched on counterparty text, amount, timing and subledger balances. Each match shows its reasoning.
- Stripe payouts reconciled at charge, refund and fee level
- Exceptions sorted by what needs a person first
- Rejections teach the rules, per entity, in plain English

Every change has a name.
Agents propose and named people approve. Materiality thresholds route each proposal to the right level, and there is no anonymous system actor.
- Separation of duties between who proposes and who approves
- An attributed, append-only audit log that auditors can read
- Drill-down from any statement line to the source document

Questions
Questions, answered.
How do I shorten the month-end close?
Move the work out of month-end. Reconcile continuously, post accruals as they are approved and let the checklist follow the work. With Eternify Ledger the close becomes review and sign-off on a ledger that is already current.
What is a close checklist in accounting software?
A list of the tasks that must finish before a period locks, each with an owner and a status. In Eternify Ledger the status is derived from the work itself, so a reconciled account shows as done without anyone ticking it.
How do you enforce segregation of duties?
Above a threshold you set, the person who proposed an entry cannot approve it. Every proposal and approval carries a name, and the audit log is append-only.
Can I correct a posted entry?
You post a reversing entry beside the original. Posted entries are never edited or deleted, so the history an auditor reads is the history that happened.
