What the number means.
What it counts
The hours your people spend on entry, coding and matching, the share an agent drafts while a person approves, and the cost of an hour. Plus any software or consultant spend you tell it you would retire.
What it leaves out
The price of Eternify Ledger, which we quote for your entities and volume; the time to move your books; and the gains that are harder to price, such as a shorter close or fewer errors found at year-end.
How to read it
As the size of the work that moves, not a promise. On the demo we check the share against your own bills, bank lines and entries.
Questions
Questions, answered.
How do you calculate the ROI of accounting software?
Start from the hours the software changes, multiply by what an hour costs you, add the spend it retires, and subtract what it costs. This calculator does the first three with your numbers. The last one needs our quote, which depends on your entities and volume.
What share of the work can an agent take?
It depends on the work. Coding a recurring supplier's bill, matching a card line to a receipt and drafting a payment run are drafted well; judgement calls stay with people. The calculator starts at half and lets you set it from 10% to 80%, and on a demo we check it against your own transactions.
Does the approval step cancel the time saved?
Not in practice: reviewing a drafted, coded bill with its source attached takes a fraction of entering it. The calculator still keeps the approval with your team by counting only the share an agent drafts, never the decision.
How long should a month-end close take?
Long enough to be right, and no longer. A perpetual ledger, continuous reconciliation and a close checklist built from the work itself remove most of the waiting. We do not publish a benchmark we cannot source; we show you your own close on the demo.
Check it on your books.
On the demo we run the calculator against your own bills and bank lines.
