Time

Every billable hour, invoiced.

Enter time by person, project and task. A named person approves the timesheet, billable hours carry the rate for their role, and approved hours land on the next invoice without being retyped.

Time, in motion
  • Time by person, project and taskThe same dimensions the ledger uses.
  • Timesheet approvalSubmitted, approved or returned with a reason by a named person.
  • Billable and non-billableKept apart on every line and every total.
  • Rates by person or roleWith client and project overrides.

What you get

Entered where the work is booked

Time goes against a person, a project and a task, using the same dimensions as the ledger, so a project's hours and its costs meet in one place.

Approved by a named person

A timesheet is submitted and approved like any other change. Nobody bills hours that no one signed off.

Billed once, from the record

Approved billable hours go to billing at the rate for the person or role. The invoice line points back to the timesheet.

How it works

From the timesheet to the invoice.

Pick a step to see it. The panel stays beside you while you read.

Fill the grid by day. Billable and non-billable hours are kept apart, and the day totals show at a glance whether the week adds up.

Submitted timesheets wait in the approval queue with the approver named. A rejected line goes back with a reason, and every decision is kept.

Under the hood

Hours that reach the ledger.

Time lives beside the ledger, not in a separate tool. It uses the same dimensions, approvals and roles, so there is nothing to reconcile.

Questions

Questions, answered.

Can I track billable and non-billable hours separately?

Yes. Each timesheet line is marked billable or not, and the totals keep them apart. Billable hours go to billing at their rate, and non-billable hours stay in the project's cost.

Who approves a timesheet?

A named approver, set per project or per team. A rejected timesheet goes back with a reason, and every decision is kept in the audit log.

How do approved hours get onto an invoice?

Billing pulls approved billable hours into the next invoice draft at the rate for the person or role. The invoice line links back to the timesheet entries.

Do I need a separate timesheet tool?

No. Time is entered and approved in Eternify Ledger, so the hours, the rates and the invoice share one record.
